Shirley Moore, M.S., R.Ac.
Shirley has been practicing acupuncture since 2003. She holds diplomas in both Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, which is affiliated with the University of Beijing. She is registered in Alberta and is board certified by the American National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She also holds a Master of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College.
In addition, Shirley has completed postgraduate work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and gained advanced certification in Acupuncture for Oncology from them. She uses acupuncture to reduce the severity of side effects of chemotherapy medications in cancer patients such as pain, fatigue, nausea, and anxiety.
Shirley is a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Society for Integrative Oncology, the Alberta Association of Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors, and the American Association of Oriental Medicine.
Dr. Kay Lee, DAOM, LAc., Dipl.OM (NCCAOM), MT (ASCP)un
Kay Lee studied her Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (OM) from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc.) in Michigan and board certified American National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dr. Kay Lee also completed of her Doctoral Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) at California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco, California.
In addition, she received advanced certification in Neuro-Acupuncture for Neurological conditions , PTSD, Parkinson’s Disease, Facial Bell’s Palsy, Post Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Anxiety, Fibromyalgia, Tremor, low Back Pain includes, but not limited to Acute and Chronic common conditions.
Kay Lee is Licensed Medical Technologist (MT, ASCP) and worked in Clinical Pathology Department at MidMichigan Medical Center (Midland and Alma), MI, University of MidMichigan Health System for last 20+ years.
Dr. Lee’s Western medicine background will strongly supports integrated treatment with Acupuncture and Herbal medicine to benefit to many different conditions.
Sherrie joined FWC in 2015 as the office receptionist. Sherrie is a mid-Michigan native, having graduated from Coleman High School and earning an Associate’s degree in Business – Office Management from Delta College. Sherrie enjoys interacting with patients to help them with their appointments and keeping the practice office running smoothly for the benefit of both the patients and the practitioners. Being part of a team that helps patients experience relief from pain and stress through acupuncture is very rewarding.
